The management and shareholders of Plasticon Europe BV, Oldenzaal (Netherlands), and Polem B.V., Lemmer (Netherlands) wish to announce that agreement has been reached on the acquisition of Polem B.V. by Plasticon Europe BV

For Plasticon Europe BV this means an important step in the company’s growth strategy. With Polem the group will strengthen its position in their core business and explore a market where it currently has no presence. Being part of the group, Polem will be able to penetrate in different new geographical markets and offer a much wider product and service package to the group. Polem will remain an independent business unit, called bulk storage, and continue to service the market under its current name.

Plasticon Europe provides the chemical, water/wastewater, power generation and other process industries with integrated solutions for handling and containing critical fluids and gases. Plasticon Europe is Europe’s largest manufacturer of specialty engineered and corrosion resistant glass fibre reinforced plastic and dual laminate products. The company has its head office in the Netherlands, with production locations in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, France, Finland and Thailand and sales offices in the United States, Czech Republic, Scandinavia and Austria.

Polem is engaged in manufacturing glass fibre reinforced polyester silos and tanks for containing powders, bulkgoods and liquids. Polem is Europe’s market leader in the field of bulk storage of cattle feed and fertilizers and developed a strong brand name in the storage of dry storage in several industries. Polem has its production locations in Lemmer and Leek (Netherlands) and two service centers in Odiliapeel (Netherlands) and Stadtlohn (Germany).
